Welcome to the digital almsround of the Zen Academy (100 days crowdfunding, annually from early December to mid-March). The academy offers everyone the opportunity to meditate and practice through digital almsgiving. That the Zen temples are always open it takes a lot of effort; therefore everyone gives according to his personal possibilities. The monks and nuns give their lives and the layman also gives what he can. Without mutual support, there can be no place of silence and emptiness. The almsgiving is on the one hand important for the independent financing, but also a big sign of trust. It makes us proud and thankful that our actions are appreciated.
The Insopor Zen Academy is a nonprofit association. Our purpose is to awaken each and everyone's true nature and to share compassion with the community.
Thank you for helping us to offer a refuge for meditation and emptiness.
The donation to the monk or the nun enables the giver to express his respect for the pursuit of inner emptiness and the practice of monks and nuns. Only through this support can the monk or the nun live and practice in the temple. The donor thanks the monks and nuns.
Practice for the zen nuns & zen monks
For the monk or the nun, the almsround is a reminder that man is not an island and constantly depends on each other. Each alm makes him / her aware of the connection with the world and is the result of the effort of innumerable beings. Thus, each donor contributes to the practice of the monk or the nun - even if he spontaneously decides to give some.
What are the donations used for?
The oblations are distributed in equal parts to:
- Eremita Zen Temple (Einsiedeln)
- Honora Zen Monastery (Reichenburg)
- Lambda Zen Temple (Glarus)
- Zen Academy
